Submission Guidelines: Articles & Book Reviews

The editorial office of Ethnohistory invites submissions of article manuscripts of 6,000 to 10,000 words, including endnotes and references. The article should be prefaced with a brief abstract.

Electronic submission via email as a file attachment, saved in Word format with any graphics saved as low resolution files (150 dpi≤), is preferred.

The manuscript should have the author’s name removed, but should be accompanied by a separate Word file containing the article title, author’s name, and complete contact information (address, phone, e-mail, and summer contact details if relevant).

In submitting a manuscript for consideration, the author acknowledges that the work contained therein is his or her own and that no part of it has been previously published or is under consideration for publication elsewhere. Any necessary written permission for the use of material is to be obtained by the author.

Ethnohistory has a double-blind manuscript review policy.
