The ASE was founded in 1954 to promote the interdisciplinary investigation of the histories of the Native Peoples of the Americas, and today consists of over 1,200 scholars and affiliated members. As the preeminent international organization in the field of ethnohistory, we are proud to invite you and your organization to participate in our annual meeting in October of 2011.
The conference will be hosted in Pasadena, California at the Westin Hotel beginning Wednesday evening, October 19 and ending on Saturday evening, October 22. We would like to invite your press to place an advertisement in the 2011 conference program and/or reserve a table in the conference book exhibit room. The pricing for the conference is:
| Description | Pricing |
| Advertising | |
| Full page ad | $ 400 |
| Half page ad | $ 200 |
| Exhibit Space | |
| 6’ draped table and 1 chair | $ 25/table/day |
| Storage fee (books) | $ 5/box (after 2nd box) |
All advertisements to appear in the ASE 2011 conference program should be camera-ready and in electronic format (preferably PDF).
Tables are available in the exhibit room, which is adjacent to the conference registration area.
Since the hotel has limited space for storage, they request that any packages be sent to the Hotel no earlier than 10/11/2011. A handling and storage fee of $5.00 per box/item (after the 2nd box) will be assessed. A label on the box should include the following information:
Name of Recipient
c/o Alma Garrison
The Westin Pasadena Hotel
191 North Los Robles Avenue,
Pasadena, CA 91101
American Society for Ethnohistory
Please be aware that the Hotel is not prepared to store crates, pallets, or large shipments. If you have any specific questions involving shipping and storage, please contact Alma Garrison at the Hotel (Alma.Garrison@westin.com).
Additionally, if the press wishes to organize a morning or afternoon coffee break or other event involving food and drink, the Hotel is prepared to accommodate us, and the conference organizing committee will make note of this special event in the program and publicize it at the conference. All we require at this point is a request for the type of food and drink and an estimate of the number of people who will attend. We will send cost estimates for the event to you ASAP.
